Former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje announced a major resolution. Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State will publicly endorse President Bola Tinubu. He will be the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.
Ganduje explained these consultations. Their goal is to rebuild trust within the party. They also seek to strengthen internal cohesion before the 2027 polls.
“Our meetings over the past three days aimed for complete party unity,” Ganduje stated. “We also reaffirmed our solidarity with the Federal Government. This is under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership.”
He noted the strong turnout and commitment from delegates. This shows their resolve to maintain APC dominance. This applies both in Kano and across the nation.
The former governor revealed a significant development. Party executives from all 44 local government areas (LGAs) sought clearance. They want to openly declare support for President Tinubu’s second-term bid.
“All local governments in the state must gather party officials, stakeholders, and supporters,” Ganduje announced. “They will make a public pronouncement. This will endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as our sole candidate for 2027.”
He also issued a directive. All APC offices across LGAs and wards must reopen immediately. They should become fully functional. This will boost grassroots mobilization efforts.
Ganduje mentioned further plans. The party will soon deploy ICT experts. This prepares for the APC’s upcoming digital registration exercise.
The former governor reminded party members of Kano’s past achievement. The state once produced the highest APC membership figures nationwide. He urged them to reclaim this record.
“Each local government must provide three computer experts,” he stated. “They will receive training at the state headquarters. Then, they will be deployed for the e-registration exercise. We are confident Kano will again lead in registered party members.”
Ganduje also called on party officials. They should intensify mobilization for the ongoing INEC voter registration. He encouraged all eligible citizens, especially first-time voters, to register promptly.
He emphasized the necessity for Kano APC. The party must remain organized and fully mobilized. It also needs to be strategically positioned. This is crucial as 2027 election preparations gain momentum.
