The lady, identified as @funkysguide, reported the abduction. Her father was kidnapped. This happened as he returned from her convocation ceremony. The event was at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).
Audio Reveals Kidnappers’ Ransom Demands
The viral audio details the kidnappers’ demands. They insisted on a N5 million ransom. Her father revealed his predicament. He stated he had been tied since morning.
The lady’s father also shared more information. He was kidnapped alongside other passengers. The abductors subjected them to beatings.
A woman spoke with one of the kidnappers. She informed them N700,000 had been collected. However, the kidnapper, identified as Northern, demanded the full N5 million ransom. He refused any lesser amount.
In her post’s caption, the lady appealed directly to Nigerians. She sought urgent assistance. This was for her father’s safe return.
Her heartfelt caption expressed the tragedy:
“As of last night, this was the recorded conversation between my family, my dad, and the kidnappers. Nigerians, please help me. My dad came to celebrate me on my convocation, only for him to be kidnapped on his way back.”
