Kun Khalifat FC has taken drastic action by disbanding its entire management and coaching staff. This follows a disappointing start to the 2025-2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
The Owerri-based club announced the sweeping changes after Sunday’s 1-1 draw. The result came against Nasarawa United at Dan Anyiam Stadium.
Club officials confirmed the decision followed a comprehensive review. They examined the club’s structure, performance, and long-term goals. Kun Khalifat FC also thanked the outgoing staff for their dedication.
An official statement read: “The Management Team and Coaching Staff have been officially disbanded. This occurred on November 16, 2025.”
The club emphasized this forms part of broader restructuring plans. These aim to improve efficiency and boost performance. The changes seek to reposition the club for future growth.
Kun Khalifat currently sits 16th in the NPFL standings. They’ve earned just 13 points from 13 matches. Their record shows three wins, four draws, and six defeats.
The club promised further updates about new appointments. These will cover both administrative and technical positions. All changes will be communicated in due course.
