Phyna Detained Over 3.5 Million Property Damage Incident at Abuja Hotel

Reality TV star Phyna has revealed that she is currently being detained in connection with an incident that occurred at Dalchifit Hotel in Gwarinpa, Abuja.

According to Phyna, the altercation began when some individuals she knew entered the hotel premises and attacked her, leading to chaos and significant destruction within the facility. She claimed that these individuals were allowed entry through the main gate and reception area, and they eventually gained access to her room before the situation turned violent.

Phyna stated that she had requested access to the hotel’s CCTV footage to verify the events that transpired but claimed that both the hotel management and the police had not responded to her request. She maintained her innocence, stating that she is being detained because she refused to pay for the alleged damages, which she estimates to be around ₦3.5 million.

Expressing her disappointment, Phyna criticized the hotel’s handling of the situation, accusing the management of negligence and failure to ensure her safety. She alleged that the hotel staff provided her room number to the individuals who attacked her.

In a series of social media posts, Phyna wrote: “Dalchifit hotel in Gwarinpa allowed touts to come into the hotel to attack me and now they are about to lock me up until Monday because I refused to pay a damage fee of 3.5 million naira. I’m effectively in prison right now.”

She continued, “Dalchifit Hotel… Because I’m Phyna, I’m being forced by a hotel that failed to protect me on their premises. A hotel that allowed touts through their main gate, through reception, up to the second floor to break down the door. I’ve never seen anything like this. Omo, this is 2025, just let me leave with my sister.”

She also tagged the hotel’s official Instagram account, @dalchifitsuiteshotel, and stated that the police at Gwarinpa station are involved in the matter.

This incident has sparked reactions online, with many expressing concern over the situation. However, it is important to note that the full details are still emerging, and further updates are expected.
