Human rights attorney Oloye T.D Esq has composed an open communication to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike regarding his recent encounter with naval personnel A.M. Yarima.
Through a social media statement on X (formerly Twitter), Oloye advised the FCT Minister to demonstrate humility and compassion during his governance tenure.
He reminded the minister: “History documents all actions. Citizens observe carefully. Future generations will evaluate leaders not by authority exercised, but by humanity demonstrated while governing.”
Attorney Encourages Wike to Reassess Leadership Approach
In the correspondence titled “A Call for Reflection, Restraint, and Citizen Respect,” Oloye expressed apprehension about the minister’s governing methods. The attorney noted recent conduct and remarks by Wike have generated public concern about administrative approaches.
“Leadership represents privilege, not weaponry,” Oloye wrote. “It signifies service, not suppression. When authority intimidates, silences, or oppresses, democratic foundations face erosion.”
The legal professional further encouraged adopting humility and discussion over confrontation. He warned that intimidation damages public trust in leadership.
Oloye concluded: “Maintain composure, reflect deeply, and honor the sacred duty to govern with impartiality, equity, and justice.”
