An individual has forecasted potential consequences for the naval officer involved in a confrontation with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
A viral video recently captured a tense exchange between Lieutenant Yerima and Minister Wike.
Forecast Regarding Naval Officer
On social media, Daerefa Christopher Braide predicted Lieutenant Yerima’s dismissal for confronting Minister Wike.
His statement declared: “My prediction. Officer A.M Yerima would be sacked for daring the almighty.”
Separately, a legal professional reacted to the public dispute between Wike and Lieutenant Yarima.
Attorney First Baba Isa expressed disappointment regarding Wike’s approach toward the naval officer.
I felt painful shame watching the Minister address a commissioned Naval Officer that way. As an agent of Nigeria’s Commander-in-Chief, he disrespected the Armed Forces by speaking to an officer following orders in such manner.
Wike could have contacted his superior to resolve the matter discreetly. Creating a public scene diminishes his high office.
Legally, all FCT land belongs to the Minister who holds it in public trust. While Wike has extensive land authority, I never expected such brazen exercise of power.
This doesn’t make him a hero. Naval officers elsewhere don’t earn hero status by guarding former superiors’ properties.
