Social media figure Geh Geh has ignited online debates with a bold stance. He declared African men should never kneel during marriage proposals.
Appearing on The Honest Bunch Podcast, he argued the gesture contradicts logic. Why kneel to someone you’re supposedly honoring with marriage?

Traditional Perspectives on Proposals
Geh Geh explained his viewpoint clearly:
“Naturally in Africa, men shouldn’t kneel to propose. You’re doing the woman a favor. Kneeling while granting a favor makes no sense. It’s like begging someone you’re helping.”
He further questioned marriage’s necessity for men. Geh Geh suggested women gain more from wedlock.
“Honestly, men don’t need marriage. What do we need women for? Only children. Even unmarried men can father kids. Since I’m inviting you into my life, why kneel?”
Social Media Reacts
These remarks triggered polarized reactions online. Nigerians split between praising his boldness and condemning his stance.
One supporter commented: “Geh Geh delivers controversial truths fearlessly.” A critic countered: “If women are unnecessary, why discuss them constantly?”
This controversy has reignited cultural debates. Many now question if kneeling proposals should continue. Others speculate about Geh Geh’s motivations.
