Niger Tornadoes manager Majin Mohammed has appealed to supporters for patience following the team’s 2-1 home loss to Abia Warriors in Minna. Despite frustration at the Bako Kontagora Stadium result, the coach expressed confidence in his squad’s swift recovery.
“Football results like this are normal,” Mohammed stated in a club interview. “We previously earned an away win in Kano. Now we’ll prepare thoroughly for our upcoming match in Bauchi against Wikki Tourists.”
The Ikon Allah Boys currently rank fifth in the NPFL standings. They hold 17 points from 11 games. Their next challenge comes at Tafawa Balewa Stadium this weekend.
NPFL Fixture Adjustment
Meanwhile, league organizers have altered Rivers United’s Matchday 12 schedule against Kun Khalifat FC. The game shifts from Sunday, November 9 to Monday, November 10.
Kun Khalifat’s General Manager Charles Nnadi confirmed the venue remains Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt. The adjustment came at Rivers United’s request.
“Rivers United formally petitioned the NPFL for this change,” Nnadi explained. “Their rescheduled Matchday 9 fixture against Bendel Insurance necessitated the adjustment. The league body approved the modification.”
