Governor Fubara Declares Support for Rainbow Coalition Ahead of 2027 Elections
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has publicly announced his backing for the Rainbow Coalition, a broad‑based political movement that brings together members from various parties in the state.
He affirmed President Bola Tinubu as his preferred presidential candidate and named Kingsley Chinda as the governorship hopeful he is supporting, urging all his supporters to vote for every candidate on the coalition’s platform in the 2027 elections.
The governor said the era of political conflict in Rivers State is over, stressing that peace and unity are now essential for the state’s development.
“I am supporting our Rainbow Coalition. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is our President, and he is the one we are supporting. The governorship candidate is the candidate I am supporting, and anybody who believes in me will support every candidate under the Rainbow Coalition,” Fubara declared.
He warned against any actions that could reignite divisions, stating he would not be associated with any agenda that threatened the prevailing peace, and added that the first phase of the state’s medical consumables factory is expected to be completed within three months, positioning Rivers State as a production hub.
Fubara assured residents that the medical consumables factory will boost industrialisation, create jobs and attract both local and international patronage, encouraging the growth of supporting industries around the facility.
