Kwankwaso Defends NDC Supporters’ Motives
The 2027 vice‑presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), Rabiu Kwankwaso, emphasized that the party’s backers are not driven by immediate material gains on election day.
“Our supporters are not merely people looking for money, textiles, or food when they go to the polls,” Kwankwaso stated. “They are individuals committed to casting their vote and safeguarding the integrity of the ballot.”
Obi Explains Choice of Kwankwaso as Running Mate
Presidential hopeful Peter Obi elaborated on why he selected Kwankwaso as his running mate, citing a shared vision for lifting Nigerians out of poverty.
According to Obi, “Kwankwaso possesses the philosophy of pulling people out of poverty.” He added that both leaders believe education is the cornerstone of societal transformation.
Obi further noted, “I share the same belief. Kwankwaso champions education, and I do too. Together we have the synergy needed to develop Nigeria’s human capital and revive the economy.”
