Super Falcons defender Shukurat Oladipo has sealed her future with Italian champions AS Roma by signing a new three‑year contract that runs until 30 June 2029. The club announced the extension on its official website.
Oladipo, a central defender, arrived at the Giallorossi in February 2025 and has already made 32 appearances. During the 2025/26 season she played a key role in Roma’s Scudetto and Coppa Italia triumphs and was named the Italian Women’s League Best Defender.
The 21‑year‑old, who joined Roma from FC Robo Queens, remains a regular member of the Nigeria senior national team and has been called up for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Lesley Ugochukwu Joins Galatasaray on Loan
Galatasaray have bolstered their midfield with the signing of Nigerian‑born Lesley Ugochukwu from Burnley. The 22‑year‑old arrives on a season‑long loan that includes an option to make the transfer permanent.
Ugochukwu moved to Burnley from Chelsea last summer after spending the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Southampton. Last season he made 35 league appearances for Burnley, scoring three goals and providing two assists. Prior to his time in England, he featured 60 times for French side Stade Rennes.

Swedish champions IFK Göteborg have completed the signing of teenage midfielder Ifeoluwa Olowoporoku from Triple 44 Football Academy. The player has agreed to a three‑year contract with the 18‑time Swedish league winners.

Aderemi Adeoye Trials with Middlesbrough
Ikorodu City midfielder Aderemi Adeoye is currently on trial with English Championship side Middlesbrough as he aims to secure a summer transfer. The 19‑year‑old joined Ikorodu City in January and quickly broke into the first team.
Adeoye’s performances earned him a place in Nigeria’s squad for the Unity Cup, where he made two substitute appearances for the Super Eagles. If the move is completed, he will follow in the footsteps of Nigerian internationals such as Yakubu, John Obi Mikel, Kenneth Omeruo and Kelechi Iheanacho who have previously represented Middlesbrough.
