ADC Denies Allegations of Candidate Upload to INEC Portal
The National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has refuted claims that a faction led by Nafiu Bala Gombe uploaded candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s nomination portal for the 2027 general election.
Abdullahi stated in a Monday release that INEC does not grant nomination portal access or codes to any leadership it does not recognize, making the allegation impossible.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) wishes to draw the attention of the media and the general public to false reports claiming that a group led by Mr. Nafiu Bala Gombe has uploaded the names of a presidential candidate and other nominees to the INEC nomination portal. The claim is a blatant lie. And it is quite easy to verify why.

He described the claim by Gombe as a blatant lie and urged the accuser to provide verifiable evidence of the supposed upload.
The earlier Sunday statement from Gombe’s faction lacked specifics about which candidates were allegedly submitted.
Otherwise, every impostor would simply upload names to the portal and proclaim themselves the authentic leadership of a political party. That is plainly not how the law or the Commission’s processes work.

Abdullahi called on INEC to investigate the matter and prevent any confusion that could erode public trust in the electoral body.
