APC Confirms Tinubu/Shettima for 2027 Presidential Race
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has officially announced that President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima will be the party’s candidates in the 2027 general election.

In a statement posted on his 𝕏 account on Friday, Yilwatda described the decision as the “collective resolve to sustain the Renewed Hope Agenda and deepen the progress already being recorded across the country.”
Details of the Nomination Ceremony
He noted that the nomination forms for Tinubu and Shettima were earlier presented to the party by the President’s Special Adviser on Political and Other Matters, Ibrahim Masari, during a well‑attended ceremony at the Continental Hotel in Abuja.

The event was attended by prominent APC leaders, including the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma, alongside governors Mai Mala Buni, Nasir Idris, Abba Kabir Yusuf, Uba Sani, Babagana Umara Zulum, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, and other party executives and stakeholders from across the federation.
Yilwatda emphasized that the atmosphere was marked by unity, confidence, and a shared purpose as the party looks ahead to 2027.
