Brentford Complete £15m Signing of Winger Jaidon Anthony from Burnley
Brentford have confirmed the signing of winger Jaidon Anthony from Burnley on a four‑year contract, with the club holding an option to extend the deal by an additional year.
The transfer involves an initial fee of £15 million, which could increase to £17 million through performance‑related add‑ons.
Anthony, aged 26, recorded nine goals and four assists in 38 appearances across all competitions last season, despite Burnley’s relegation from the Premier League.
The London‑born forward began his career in Arsenal’s academy, departing in 2016 without making a senior appearance. After loan spells at Weymouth and Leeds United, he established himself at Bournemouth before joining Burnley on loan in 2024. The move became permanent last summer when Burnley secured promotion, triggering an £8 million obligation‑to‑buy clause.
Coach Keith Andrews Welcomes the New Arrival
Brentford head coach Keith Andrews expressed enthusiasm about Anthony’s potential impact:
“We’ve been aware of Jaidon’s journey for a long, long time and have always admired him from afar. He did really well last season, which is difficult in a team that got relegated. After meeting him, it became very evident that he’d fit into the culture of the club and add to the squad. He still has so much more room for growth and improvement, and we’re really looking forward to working with him.”

Anthony becomes Brentford’s second major summer signing, following the arrival of defender Jannik Schuster from RB Salzburg in a deal valued at up to £16 million, including add‑ons.
The Bees finished ninth on goal difference last season, narrowly missing out on European qualification, and will open their new Premier League campaign against Tottenham.
Meanwhile, Burnley return to the Championship after their relegation and will start their league season at home to West Ham on 16 August.
