Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, famously known as 2Baba, has urged citizens to redirect their attention from his private life. He insists they should instead focus on critical matters affecting the nation.
Speaking to an audience, the singer made it clear that public conversations surrounding his marriage, particularly involving Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, have lingered for too long. He stressed that Nigeria faces far more serious issues that deserve public concern than discussions about his personal affairs.
2Baba explained that he has dedicated years to entertaining Nigerians through his music. He believes it is now time for people to channel their energy differently. He noted that focusing on gossip and personal drama does not contribute to the country’s progress.
“Please, ignore all that nonsense,” 2Baba pleaded. “Some serious things are happening in Nigeria. I’ve entertained you all enough. Let’s focus on more important things.”
2Baba, Wife Reportedly Face Rent Dispute
This appeal by 2Baba comes amidst recent reports regarding his personal life. He and his wife, Natasha Idibia, are reportedly entangled in a legal dispute. The conflict involves their landlord over alleged unpaid rent for their residence.
Previously, Natasha had claimed the house was a gift from her grandfather to her and her husband. This led many to believe the couple owned the property. However, fresh information circulating suggests that the Idibias are, in fact, renting the apartment.
Documents, purportedly from the court, indicate that the property belongs to a landlord. The landlord is said to be dissatisfied with the current situation, leading to the legal proceedings.
