Argentine football icon Lionel Messi has unveiled his selection of ten young footballers poised to dominate the sport in the coming years. The list was curated as part of Adidas Football’s Messi+10: Season 2 campaign, which highlights emerging football talents from around the world.
Messi’s Selection of Promising Youngsters
Among those selected are Liverpool’s Rio Ngumoha and Chelsea’s duo Andrey Santos and Kendry Paez. Brighton & Hove Albion’s creative midfielder Brajan Gruda also made the cut, having impressed with his confident performances in the Premier League.
The list also includes Nico Paz of Como, Porto’s Rodrigo Mora, Ajax Amsterdam’s Mika Godts, and Stade Rennes forward Kader Meite.
Inclusion of Women’s Football Stars
Messi did not limit his choices to the men’s game alone. He also included two female stars: Barcelona’s Clara Serrajordi and Olympique Lyon’s Lily Yohannes, describing them as players with the potential to dominate women’s football in the coming years.
Messi’s History of Identifying Talent
This is not the first time the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner has highlighted young talents. In 2024, the former Paris Saint-Germain star had previously tipped players like Lamine Yamal, Antonio Nusa, and Kenan Yildiz, all of whom have since established themselves as exciting prospects at top European clubs.
